Goodbye to a charismatic Chief Conductor
Première July 02, 2021, WDR Funkhaus Cologne (DE)
He came, conducted - and cast a spell over everyone. When Wayne Marshall took up his position as the new chief conductor of the WDR Funkhausorchestra in 2014, he quickly became known for his swinging hips and his stirring way of conducting. Now - because of the Corona crisis one year after his official end as chief conductor - his musicians are saying goodbye with a festive farewell concert and will be reminiscing about their time together.
