The children's concert with the Ensemble Musikfabrik interlaced the adventurous episodes with Ligeti's horn trio and a trio adaptation of the "Mysteries of the Macabre". The staging of the pieces by director Annechien Koerselman showed toy figures revolting against the entertainment industry. Props, gestures and actions unified the vocal acrobatics dramatically or in a comical way. It was obviously fun for the young audience aged six and over, although the tin soldier, doll and teddy bear came more from the memories of their great-grandparents than from their own everyday reality in today's children's rooms.
